Dr. Paul Jambunathan (Consultant Clinical Psychologist & Senior Lecturer, Monash University Malaysia)

Paul K Jambunathan studied at Sheffield University, UK and further trained at Murdoch University, Perth, Australia. He is a senior lecturer with the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences and a consultant clinical psychologist with Beacon International Specialist Hospital. Paul also possesses post-graduate training in sport psychology (a Canadian & Olympic Council of Malaysia Programme). With more than 30 years of experience in applied psychology in Malaysia, Britain and Australia in various roles Paul has much experience in a wide range of emotional and behavioural problems. His applied skills cover issues relating to children, parenting, interpersonal effectiveness, personal development and group interpersonal processes including performance enhancement.  He joined the Monash University education team 3 years ago, after more than 14 years as Senior Lecturer In Behavioural Sciences with the International Medical University, 3 years as a lecturer in psychology and with with extensive experience in applied psychology programme development and applications. He is a senior Dive Master and is very passionate about nature and conservation. Paul often designs learning environments with Mother-Nature as a primary instructor. He has been running numerous seminars and workshops which are custom-designed for the general public, specialized groups and multi-national companies. He believes he is a teacher at heart and facilitates learning 'out-of-the-box'. Apart from being a highly sought after speaker and facilitator, Paul is regularly interviewed and quoted in the national papers and other media. He writes for them and other regional magazines. Paul also hosts his own regional radio programme with Lite-Breakfast (Astro 105.7) which specializes in applied mental health and psychological issues. He is also currently a committee member of the inaugural Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychologists.

Mr. Mavindra Jothi (Messrs. Thomas Philip)

Mavin Thillainathan holds an LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of Reading, U.K and was called to the Bar of England and Wales as Barrister of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 2014. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2015. Mavin has a varied practice with a particular emphasis in corporate and commercial disputes. He often advises clients and acts in insolvency and corporate rescue matters, claims involving directors' duties and liabilities and shareholder disputes. Apart from appearing in court, Mavin also has considerable experience in arbitration proceedings under the AIAC (formerly KLRCA), ICC and UNCITRAL rules. He has acted as co-counsel and junior counsel in several high value commercial and oil & gas arbitrations. In his spare time, Mavin often gives talks and webinars on corporate and commercial law related issues. He also regularly pens his thoughts on topical issues in the industry and renders case commentaries from time to time.

Assoc Professor Dr Anasuya Jegathevi Jegathesan (Associate Professor, Department of Social Sciences, School of Liberal Arts & Sciences (SLAS), Taylor's University).

Assoc. Prof. Dr Anasuya is currently the Director of the Center for Human Excellence and Develop and the Program Director for the Master of Counselling at Taylors University, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She earned her Doctorate in Counselling from the University of South Australia, she is a licensed and practicing counsellor in Malaysia for over 15 years. She is a certified trainer in Reality Therapy and a Thanatologist and sits on the National Advisory Council for Counselling 2017-1018. Previously she served as the Program Director for Psychology at Taylors and the Academic Head of the Masters in Counselling program for HELP University. She gives talks and workshop on issues of mental health in the workplace, looking especially at practical applications and crisis interventions. She has sat on the Boards of numerous NGOs. She has conducted workshops internationally and for numerous corporations such as ROCHE, Bank Negara Malaysia, Royal Selangor, MIDF and many others.  She volunteers her time as the Counsellinng Supervisor for numerous NGOs such as Kechara Soup Kitchen, PT Foundation and Malaysian Invisible Illness Association. Dr. Anasuya has co-edited a book on Multicultural Counselling: application of Improved Mental Health Services as well as developed therapy cards "Journey Through Life"  to be used in sessions. She does a continuous series of talks titled "Eyes on our Children" Sessions that looks at the safety of children and teenagers in Cyberspace. In terms of research, Dr Anasuya has published a book on "Multicultural Counselling Applications for improved Healthccare services" and papers on Reality Therapy and Multicultural issues. Her research areas are intercultural interaction, spiritual counselling, death and grief, adolescence and ethical issues in counselling.

Dr. Sivashanker V Kanagasabapathy

 Dr Sivashanker graduated and completed his Medical Degree (MBBS) in 1989 from Kasturba Medical College Manipal, India. On returning to Malaysia, he started his internship in 1990 in Hospital Melaka where he worked in various departments such as Out-patient and Ophthalmology. He subsequently worked in Raub, Pahang at the District Health Office. He left the government services in 1997 and started his career in the private sector joining The Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur where he initially worked as a Resident Medical Officer and was than promoted to Senior Resident and Head of Accident & Emergency Department. While working at Gleneagles, he completed his MBA majoring in Healthcare Management in 2003. To further his experience, he subsequently joined Clinipath Malaysia, a Medical Laboratory in 2003 as their Business Development Manager and the subsequent year also took charge of the Marketing department. In 2005, he joined The National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia as their Medical Program Manager and was then promoted to become their Medical Director the following year. While at the NKF he completed his Certificate Course in Occupational Medicine. In early 2009, he was approached by Fresenius Medical Care Malaysia and offered the position of General Manager, Dialysis Services & Medical Affairs. He was responsible for the whole Dialysis Business managing 23 dialysis centres, looking into business, clinical as well as medical affairs issues. In 2015, he completed his Certificate in Healthcare Management and Strategy in Singapore organized by the HOCHSCHULE NEU-ULM (HNU), University of Applied Sciences, Germany. After 8 years in the corporate world, Dr Shanker returned to the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia in 2017 serving as its Head of Medical Department. Dr Shanker completed his LLM (Medical Law) in March 2021.

Dr Kuek Chee Ying (Dean & Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Law, Multimedia University)

Kuek Chee Ying is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Law, Multimedia University. She was an advocate and solicitor, and she has practised for ten years in civil, banking and commercial litigation as well as conveyancing practice before she joined Multimedia University. Her research interests are in the areas of Healthcare Law and Ethics, Company Law and Comparative Family Law. 

Dr Ong Kong Seng (Medical Practitioner, Hospital Shah Alam & alumnus of Taylor's Law School LLM Programme)

Dr. Ong Kong Seng is a medical officer with 7 years working experience. He graduated from I.M Sechenov First Moscow Medical University in June 2014. Completed his house officer training in 2016. He then serves in Hospital Taiping for almost 4 years, where he mainly practiced in Otorhinolaryngology Department. In the year 2020, he started working in the Administrative Department for Hospital Shah Alam. He worked under the deputy medical director as a Medico-legal doctor. In July 2021, he left government practice and join O2 Klinik, Penang. Currently he is one of the Person in Charge for PPV Perda and they are vaccinating more than 2000 people per day.

Ms Hoo Ling Lee (Chief Executive Officer, Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur)

As the Chief Executive Officer of Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Ling Lee provides the overall direction for the corporate development and expansion of the hospital. She is directly involved in the planning and coordination of the day-to-day operations and setting standards for operational and clinical excellence. Ling Lee was also the Head of Strategy and Special Projects of Malaysia Operations Division, IHH Malaysia for 10 years overseeing the Group strategy and business development prior to joining Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur. She is instrumental in many greenfield and brownfield hospital projects in the country. Prior to joining IHH Malaysia, Ling Lee was with Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and National University Hospital (NUH) I Singapore before returning home to Malaysia. Ling Lee brings with her 18 years of experience in the healthcare industry; in strategy development, hospital acquisition, operational leadership, lean management and financial management. She loves sharing her healthcare experiences and she is a Visiting Lecturer at International Medical University (IMU). She takes on topic on healthcare strategy and healthcare operations. Ling Lee has a Degree of Economics from National University of Malaysia (UKM)

Prof Dr Chong Pei Pei (Professor, School of Medicine, Taylor's University)

Dr. Chong is currently a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Science, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Taylor's University Malaysia. She graduated with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in 1998, after obtaining her B.Sc. in Biochemistry with first-class honours from the same university. She worked briefly as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in National University of Singapore before taking up the post of lecturer in University Putra Malaysia 1999. Her research interests are broad and diverse and include pathogenesis of microbial infections, cancer genetics (association of single nucleotide polymorphisms with cancer risks), and etnopharmacological potential of natural compounds. However, her current primary focus is on gene expression profiling of microbial host-pathogen interaction using microarray and proteomics platforms. Research Interest: Mycology (Molecular diagnostics of candidiasis, drug resistance in vaginal candidiasis, pathogenesis of systemic candidiasis, virulence, quorum sensing and biofilm formation in Candida species, natural products in antifungal research) Molecular Genetics (SNPs and association of cancers with a viral etiology such as cervical cancer and nasopharyngeal cancer, siRNA gene silencing of cancer-related genes in mouse models)

Dr Sudhir Kumar A/L Sri Kumar (Medical Practitioner, Ministry of Health Malaysia)

Dr Sudhir Kumar is a medical officer currently with the Orthopaedic & Traumatology Department of Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) since 2018 and has served in the government sector since 2012 in several hospitals around Malaysia with 7 years of experience in the field of Orthopaedics. He has been actively involved in the department's activities as well as dabbling with research in Orthopaedics by presenting various research papers in Malaysia and overseas. As medicine is part of a life-long learning journey, he considers himself a forever student and fuelled by his passion to understand other fields besides Medicine, Sudhir has taken a keen interest in the ever-advancing field of medicolegal and healthcare law and pursuing a Master of Laws at Taylor's University to build on his academic foundations in law, as well as to pivot his career and search for avenues in helping public and the medical fraternity in a different avenue during the lull of the pandemic. He plans to expand and further take up Healthcare Analytics as a further area of study soon. He believes in helping people regardless of race or creed is the balance besides providing service in a professional capacity, a tenet he lives out as an active volunteer in various organisations and is involved in outreach work where he was exposed to it during his posting in Sarawak travelling to the interiors.

Ms. Pang Chia Yee – (Psychologist and Lecturer, School of Liberal Arts & Sciences, Taylor's University)

Ms. Pang Chia Yee is a psychology lecturer at Taylor's University, Malaysia, researcher and therapist. She is also a PhD candidature.  Her expertise includes gender studies, personal development, sexuality, relationships, mental health, resilience and counselling. She graduated with Master of Arts (Conselling) from University of Nottingham, United Kingdom and BA (Hons) – majoring in Psychology and minor in Philosophy from University of Prince Edward Island, Canada. She has conducted various workshops, training and talks for corporations, schools and the public. She has more than 10 years of experience in the field of mental health.  

Dr Ved Pal Singh (Assistant Professor, Maharshi Dayanand University, India)

Dr Ved Pal Singh is Assistant Professor of Law in Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana State, India. Previously he was Assistant Professor and Founder Faculty Member at  Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Patiala, Punjab State, India. Dr Ved Pal Singh obtained his Ph.D and Master of Laws from M.D. University, Rohtak (Haryana), and his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Allahabad, India. Dr Ved Pal is also a member of distinguished academic bodies such as the Indian Society of Global Law and Policy, the International Society for Development and Sustainability, and the Asian Association of Law and Economics Forum. He is Convenor of the MDU Law Journal and a member of the Editorial Board of the Yugshilpi Law Journal. He is also on the Advisory Board of the Indian Journal of Social Concerns, a Research Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences. Dr Ved Pal has published widely in international research journals such as International Affairs and Strategy, Impact Educational, the Black Sea Journal, and Person, Society, State. He has also published his research in the MDU Law Journal, the Vidyasthali  Law Journal, the Kurukshetra Law Journal, and the Vidhigya Law Journal, among others. Dr Ved Pal has also presented his work in numerous national-level conferences and seminars.
